Overview

Miki Travel Limited is committed to preserving the privacy of all visitors to its websites. We are committed to ensuring that you can book your travel requirements in a safe and secure online environment. We will keep your personal information on a secure server and we will fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and other applicable legislation from time to time in place.

By using, registering or making a booking on this site, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information (including personal information of your customers in connection with a booking) under the terms of this policy.

Governing Language: This policy is in English. If this policy is translated into any language other than English, the English language text shall prevail in the event of a conflict between the English version and the translated version.

1  Information that we collect from you

When you make a booking with us or opt to register on the site we will ask you to input and will collect personal information from you such as your name, e-mail address, billing address, payment information and a password. We may also collect information about your usage of our website (eg IP address, pages of our website you visited) as well as information about you from messages you post to the website and e-mails or letters you send to us. We may collect this information even if you do not register with us.

2 Use of your information

2.1       Your information will enable us to improve the quality of your service, provide you with access to all parts of our site and to supply any services you have requested. It will also enable us to invoice you and to contact you where necessary concerning your booking. We will also use and analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business.

3.1       The information you provide to us will be held on our computers and may be accessed by or given to our staff working outside the UK and third parties including companies within the Miki group of companies some of whom are located outside the European Economic Area in particular, Malaysia, Japan and Hong Kong who act for us for the purposes set out in this policy or for other purposes approved by you. Those parties process information, fulfil orders and provide support services on our behalf. We may transfer or disclose your personal information, to our professional advisers and to such other parties as we consider necessary, for the administration of the website and related business or if required to disclose such information by law.

3.2       Finally, if our business enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed to our new business partners or owners.

3.3       Countries outside the European Economic Area do not always have strong data protection laws. However, we will always take steps to ensure that your information is used by third parties in accordance with this policy.

4          Cookies

5          Security and data retention

5.1       We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage Data on our secure pages is encrypted using our BT Trust Services Global Server Certificate, provided by Verisign. Our servers are secured behind firewalls to prevent unauthorised access. Your passwords are stored encrypted in our database.

5.2       Miki Travel use 128 bit SSL. All your private data will be encrypted at all times whilst in transit over the Internet. SSL is special software that automatically encrypts any data sent by you on our secure pages. All pages on the site that require you to enterpersonal or sensitive information are secure. You may see the address of the page change from starting with http to https. Your browser will also indicate that the page is secure by displaying a padlock or key inthe status bar at the bottom of the window. If your browser is suitably configured, you will receive a warningmessage when you first access any secure page on the site. This is simply information to advise you that

the site is protecting your data. We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

5.3       We however cannot guarantee the security of any personal data/information you disclose online. You accept the inherent security implications of dealing on-line over the Internet and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless we have been negligent and then only to the limits set out inthe terms and conditions for this website.

6          Accessing and updating

You are entitled to see the information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. If you wish to do this, please contact us. We are entitled by law to charge a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Any changes to our privacy policy in the future will be posted to the site.

9          Verisign

The Verisign logo is visible on most pages on the site. If you click on the logo, a new window will open, and details of the valid digital certificate that Miki Travel holds is displayed. The digital certificate enables us to secure the web pages used when entering private information.
