Do you have good administration experience working within the travel/leisure industry? Then you are the person we are looking for!

Miki Travel are looking for individuals who are passionate about travel and motivated to join a growing organisation.

Our office in the City of London offers a multicultural environment and employs people with a diverse range of experience.

We bring incoming tourists from Japan to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking to recruit an Admin Assistant within our Sales Administration Department to be based in our London office.

About the Dept

The Sales Admin team provide administrative support and are the information source to the departments and our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Tariff system Maintenance: Exclusions, Adjustments, Special Offers, Rate Queries, Yield Management, Exchange Rates. Testing New functions.
  • Client Set up and Maintenance: Registration, Accounts, Users on Mikinet, AS400 maintenance, Miki CMS, account shut downs.
  • Client Updates on Booking Status: Reporting Duplicate Bookings to clients and monitoring of Time Out Bookings.
  • Upkeep of filing and records
  • Collating and advising clients of new products
  • Public Website Exclusions
  • Collation of meeting agenda’s and Minutes
  • Collation of stats. Daily, monthly & quarterly
  • Checking of xml bookings for accounting purposes
  • Organisation of Trade shows.
  • Newsletters /Client Alerts
  • Checking past bookings for losses
  • Queries from other divisions / departments within Miki.
  • Work as directed to carry out ad hoc duties when requested.

Relevant Skills/Characteristics

  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • A friendly and professional telephone manner
  • Able to liaise with staff in other divisions and clients
  • Ability to compose & format emails to clients and colleagues without the use of templates

Required Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Sound knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of AS/400 an advantage but not essential

Desirable

  • Experience in the travel industry is an advantage
