Miki Travel are looking for individuals who are passionate about the travel industry and motivated to join a growing organisation.

Our office in the City of London offers a multicultural environment and employs people with a diverse range of experience.

We bring incoming tourists from Japan to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.

The Analyst Programmer is responsible for defining, developing and maintaining the AS400 based system ensuring Business Requirements are met

Responsibilities include:

  1. Requirements gathering, analysis and documentation for new developments and enhancements of the system
  2. Technical analysis and specifications of enhancements and new development
  3. Coding and production of test cases and test plans
  4. Investigation and resolution of reported issues
  5. Coordinate and manage tasks as part of a team
  6. Liaison with other teams within ITS (I.T solutions) in order to facilitate smooth system implementations

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  1. Proven track record and experience in Requirements and Technical analysis
  2. Proven work experience using RPG,SQL and Cl on IBM AS400/ISERIES/Power 8 (7 years plus)
  3. Operational knowledge of the AS/400/ISERIES/Power 8
  4. Ability to write comprehensive test plans
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  6. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Desirable:

  1. Knowledge of or exposure to the travel / holiday industry is highly desirable
  2. Experience of using software development related tools for example: Agile management, code management, reporting, requirements management, problem management, automated builds, etc..
  3. Experience of or exposure to the Agile/Scrum development methodologies
