Miki Travel are looking for individuals who are passionate about the travel industry and motivated to join a growing organisation.
Our office in the City of London offers a multicultural environment and employs people with a diverse range of experience.
We bring incoming tourists from Japan to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.
About the Department
The Rail and Ferry Department arranges trains and ferries all over Europe and UK for our Japanese and South East Asian groups.
Job Purpose
We are currently seeking to recruit a Rail and Ferry Reservations Agent to arrange European rail, UK Rail and Ferries for individual and group travellers.
Main Responsibilities
- For Groups and FIT clients, reserving and issuing UK and European rail tickets, ferries, rail passes, breakfast/lunch boxes on trains and ferries, baggage handling
- Updating AS400 with train/ferry details e.g. coach and seat details to confirm with agent
- End of day accounting tickets issued
- Information collecting of Rail/Ferry Services and rates to send to our sales team in Japan and our China offices
- You will need to be good with numbers to account for all rail and ferry tickets on a daily basis.

Required Experience/Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of Europe
- Good attention to detail
Desirable
- Previous experience within the travel industry
- Knowledge of a European language
- Experience within the European Rail or Ferry Industry
